The construction of an affordable housing apartment complex catering to seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. The proposed future complex, spanning approximately 150-200 units, will occupy approximately 2.3 acres at 11684 Chef Menteur Hwy, New Orleans, LA 70129, adjacent to the Church at New Orleans Worship Center. The complex will be constructed above ground, featuring gated premises with onsite security and ample covered parking spaces for residents. Given New Orleans' vulnerability to street flooding from hurricanes, severe storms, and heavy rainfall, the above-ground design aims to mitigate property damage and the need for resident evacuation. Additionally, the building will incorporate its own generator to ensure continued operations during power outages.

The first floor above ground will house a community center exclusively for tenant use during the day, offering senior programs, health and wellness activities, and a fully equipped fitness facility. In the evenings and weekends, the community center will open its doors to the broader community to utilize its indoor walking track, fitness center and participate in youth and adult educational, sports and others programs. The complex will also include office spaces for management and operational staff, alongside various tenant services. The top floor will feature short-term rentals and an Event Center for weddings and other occasions.

The overarching vision is to cultivate a welcoming and supportive environment that fosters a sense of community while providing essential amenities and services for residents. Furthermore, this complex will aid the community as a Light House during natural disasters to assist by providing charging stations for phones, dialysis, sleep and air machines and more. This building will be solar powered driven, energy efficient and environmentally healthy.
